Louise Strohmier, age 80, born on Sept. 26, 1935 to Orville & Lucile (Prentice) Langford, returned to her Heavenly Father on Friday, Jan. 22, 2016. For years, Louise lived with debilitating pain. Choosing not to let it defeat her, instead, she lived her life with perseverance and strength, bestowing unconditional love and support on her children -- who meant everything to her.
She was preceded in death by her mother and step-father, Lucile & Clarence DeZwaan; her father and step-mother, Orville & Helen Langford; and two brothers, Donald Langford and Raymond Langford. To navigate life with the void she left is her brother, Thomas (Darby) Langford of Montague; her children, Susan (Fred Sr.) Lucht of Morley, Pamela Wilkie of Wyoming, and Neil (Rani) Strohmier of Tampa, Florida; nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; the father of Louise's children, Hollis Strohmier of Greenville; and several nieces and nephews.
The family thanks the staff at Maple Creek and Gentiva Hospice for the wonderful, loving care of Louise as she ended this journey of life. Cremation has taken place and a private gathering of her loved ones will take place at a later date. Contributions in memory of Louise may be directed to either The Lodge at Maple Creek (http://www.lssm.org/lssm/donate) or Gentiva Hospice (http://www.gentivahospicefoundation.org/)
