Louise Bissell

Louise Sophia Bissell, aged 59, went to her final rest on July 11th, 2023. She is survived by her children; Christin Schooler, of Grand Rapids. MI, and David Bissell, of Fenwick, MI; her siblings; Paul (Rachael) McGimpsey, of Mount Pleasant. MI, Cynthia Hoover, of Anderson, IN, Michelle (Anthony Fraser) Jeffers, of Anderson, IN, and Rachael (Christopher) Snider, of Auburn, WA. As well as her nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and many cousins. Louise was born in Chula Vista, CA to William and Bernadine (Brandow) McGimpsey. Later, Bernadine married Paul Jeffers, both of whom preceded Louise in passing. Louise attended Belding High School and lived much of her life in the Belding and Greenville, MI area. In 1980, Louise married William Bissell, of Belding. Though they later divorced, Louise and Bill remained close friends. Louise spent the final several years of her life residing at Masonic Pathways Nursing Home in Alma. A memorial service is being held for Louise at Maranatha Baptist Church (5282 E. Airport Rd, Mount Pleasant, MI 48858) at 2 PM on Saturday, July 22nd, to be officiated by Pastor Beecher Williams, with refreshments to follow in the church's fellowship hall.
