Louisa Pattee

View Video Tribute Mrs. Louisa Hannah Pattee, age 95, of Blue Lake, Spencer Township, passed away Friday morning, May 11, 2007 under the loving care of her family at home. The daughter of Charles & Phoebe (McDade) Wrench, she was born in Alma. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Louisa found her greatest joy in spending time with her family. Following her husbands death, she had worked as an in-home healthcare nurse and enjoyed crocheting, gardening, and reading. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur H. Pattee on Sept. 28, 1968; five children, Patricia Katherine Pattee, Patricia Mary Pattee, Clarellen Scott, John Huyck, and Ted Smith; a sister, Pearl Parker; and two brothers, Bill Wrench, and Lymon McDade. Surviving are three children, Charles & Priscilla Smith of Albert Lee, Minnesota, Arta & Richard Schumaker of Grand Rapids, and Jane Katterjohn of Blue Lake; fifteen grandchildren, Dan Katterjohn & Kris Kellogg, Carl II & Julie Katterjohn, Patti & Steve Powell, Diana & Wayne Dillon Jr., Ken Schumaker, Paul & Keiko Schumaker, Joanna & James VanDyke, Paula Wells, Jim & Sandy Huyck, MaryAnn Ackerson, Julie & Scott Sorensen, Mike & Deb Smith, Steve Smith, Brian Lambert, and Rex Lambert; twenty-eight great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 15, 2007 at the Brown-Teman & Christiansen Funeral Home, 511 S. Franklin Street, Greenville, with burial following at Trufant Cemetery. The Rev. Joel Heron, pastor of Greenville Community Church, will officiate. Visitation is Monday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home, where envelopes for memorial contributions to Hospice will be available.
