Louis Chapin

Louis Carroll Chapin went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 after a long battle with cancer. His fighting spirit kept him with his family as long as it could. Louis was born, along with his twin, on December 23, 1959 in Austin, Minnesota.at St. Olaf';'s Hospital. He is survived by his Mother, Shirley Chapin McIlwraith of Victoria, British Columbia, 4 brothers, Jeff Lundholm (Kelli) of Colorado, James Lundholm of Florida, Dwight Chapin (his twin) of Wyoming, MI, and David Chapin of Kentwood, MI, along with an extended family and many friends. He will be greatly missed by those who knew his quick smile and generous spirit. His heart held no boundaries. Louis was preceeded in death by his father, Dwight Nelson Chapin in 1995. A Memorial will be held to celebrate his life on Thursday, June 5th at 1:00 pm, at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Burial will be held immediately following. Honoring his wishes, cremation will take place. Arrangements are entrusted to Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, Grand Rapids.
