In Loving Memory of Lori Ann Swadling (Bolhuis)

Lori Ann Swadling (Bolhuis), age 62, passed away peacefully on August 15, 2026. She was born on May 31, 1964, in Kalamazoo, Michigan, to the late Dan and Arlene Bolhuis (Storteboom).

Lori was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend whose life was centered on family, love, and the memories she created with those closest to her.

On October 14, 1983, Lori married the love of her life, Charles Roscoe Swadling. Together, they built a life grounded in devotion, partnership, and shared experiences.

Lori will be remembered for her kind heart, quiet strength, and the meaningful impact she had on everyone blessed to know her. She was deeply loved and will be missed beyond words.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Roscoe Swadling; her daughter, Heather Mae Levering (Bolhuis) her husband, Dan Levering; and her son, Charles Ryan Swadling and his wife, Nicole Swadling (Gilbert).

Her greatest joy was her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren:

● Jeremiah Bolhuis, who proudly serves in the U.S. Army

Lori is also survived by her brothers:

● Randy Bolhuis and his beautiful wife, Andrea

● Steve Bolhuis

Lori has a huge extended family including her nieces, nephews and many cousins who she cherished so much.

Lori carried deep gratitude for her Aunt Stella Gosa. After Lori lost her mother at a young age, Stella provided unconditional love, guidance, and a steady, motherly presence that shaped her life.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Allen Bolhuis.

Lori’s grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her immeasurable joy, and she treasured every moment spent with them. They were her greatest pride and will forever carry her love forward.

Lori’s love, laughter, and presence will live on through her family and the many memories she leaves behind. She will be forever missed and always remembered.
