Lonie Everett Hodges, age 66, of Greenville, passed away unexpectedly Monday evening, Sept. 11, 2006 at St. Marys Health Care, Grand Rapids. The son of Everett & Thelma (Corey) Hodges, he was born on Aug. 19, 1940 in Greenville.
Although he enjoyed hunting and working on cars, Lonie found his greatest pleasure in fishing. In August of 2002, he retired from the former Electrolux Home Products in Greenville. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Robert Bobby Hodges.
Surviving are his wife, Ann Hodges of Greenville; children, Lonitta & Kenny Fisk, Juanitta & Skeeter Horning, Lareno Dodgen, Lonie Hodges, Jr., Angie Hodges, Misty Hodges-Mason, and Robert (Hodges) Mason; two step-children, Leroy Boyce of Howard City, and Vina Rivard of Greenville; a brother, Chuck & Alice Hodges of Greenville; two sisters, Mary Ann & Joe Stevens of Belding, and Cathy Tasker of Palo; and several grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the Brown-Teman & Christiansen Funeral Home, 511 S. Franklin Street, Greenville, with visitation beginning at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Burial will take privately at West Montcalm Cemetery. A time of food and fellowship will take place on Thursday afternoon (preceding the visitation) from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at 5080 Lawens Drive, Greenville.
