Lois Mcallister

Lois E. McAllister, age 94, formerly of Ypsilanti and Indian River, passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at Vista Springs-Northview in Grand Rapids. The daughter of Edward Arthur & Winifred Francis Masak, she was born on November 7, 1922 in Detroit. On October 24, 1942, she married Bruce Wellington McAllister and together they enjoyed 70 years of marriage and raised two sons. Lois also worked outside the home as a cashier at Meijer, retiring in 1986. She enjoyed golf, crafting, baking, and especially spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and two sisters, Sharon Simons and Shirley Lemme. Surviving are her two sons, Brian & Kathleen McAllister of Sparta, and David & Gayle McAllister of Pinckney; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
