Lois Madura

Lois Mae Madura, age 73, of Grand Rapids, passed away early Friday morning, March 9, 2012 at home under the loving care of her family and Faith Hospice. The daughter of Joseph B. & Jacona Sophia (Kiste) Fischer, she was born on May 28, 1938 in Grand Rapids and retired from the former Butterworth Hospital where she worked as a health nutrition aide. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, George Madura on July 6, 2008. Surviving are her children, Karen Madura, Chuck Madura, and Andrew J. (Angie) Madura, all of Grand Rapids; a brother, Bernie (Sharon) Fischer of Grand Rapids; two sisters, Estelle Roeloffs of Traverse City, and Marrietta Struik of Grand Rapids; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Honoring her wishes, cremation will take place, and memorial services are being planned.
