Lloyd Rueckert

Lloyd Nelson Rueckert passed away unexpectedly Friday, March 12, 2021, at the age of 57, at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, Michigan, due to injuries sustained from a fall earlier in February. Lloyd was born on December 7, 1963, in St. Johns, Michigan, to Clifford and Donna (Myers) Rueckert. Lloyd grew up and resided in Clinton County and the surrounding areas his entire life. He was part of a large tight-knit family that loved him very much. Lloyd held various positions through the years. He could be a bit of a jokester at times. Those that knew him know he loved loud music, had a playful energy, a gigantic heart and a love for dogs. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family and was often seen around town walking a dog. His presence will be missed by many. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Brenda Thomas and Lori Race. Survivors include his daughter, McKenzie Holton of Ionia & Andrea Armstrong; best friend, Roxie the Pit Bull, of Lansing; brothers, Ron Myers of Elsie, James Forrest of Lansing, Dan (Amanda) Glaspie of Ionia, and Mark Rueckert of Lansing; sisters, Kimberly Darnell of Muir, Sandra (Robert) Hill of Lansing, and Michelle Anes of Lansing; and several nieces and nephews that will miss him dearly.
