Liza Lisa Flores, age 58, of rural Lakeview, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 19, 2026 at her home. The daughter of Domingo Hirlas and Guadalupe Arguello, she was born on February 18, 1968 in Forest Grove, Oregon.

While working in flower bulb production in Oregon, she met the love of her life, Martin Carl Kortekaas and in September of 1985, in Aurora, Oregon, they married and later made their home in Michigan where they raised their children and enjoyed over 40 years of marriage.

Liza delighted in her trips to the casino and playing other games of chance, but her greatest joy was found in time spent with her family… especially her grandchildren.

Surviving are her mother and step-father, Guadalupe & Jorge Rodriguiz; her husband, Martin Kortekaas; six children, Alex Lopez, Jason Flores-Lopez, Ashley & Brandon Baker, Justin & Sarah Flores, Michael Martin Kortekaas & Nora Davila, and Shelby Alexandra Flores & Donald Back; seventeen precious grandchildren with the eighteenth due in July; two sisters, Ramona Flores and Diana Flores; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation is from 2-4 p.m. on Monday, April 27, 2026 at Christiansen’s Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, 511 S. Franklin Street, Greenville. No formal services will be held and cremation will follow the visitation.
