Lisa Marie Dean

Lisa Marie Dean, age 44, of Gowen, passed away Friday, February 28, 2025 at Corewell Health-Butterworth Hospital. The daughter of Marlene Ruth Huey & Robert Lee Boyce, she was born on May 10, 1980 in Greenville along with her twin sister, Leslie Ann. After graduating from Greenville High School, Lisa worked as a cashier at Meijer for 23 years. On August 3, 2002, in Greenville, she married Ronald Alan Dean, Jr. and together they enjoyed nearly 23 years of marriage and had one daughter, Layla. A devoted wife and mother, Lisa also enjoyed reading books on her phone, playing games on her phone, and going for John Deere gator rides. She liked to color and sing in the car. Lisa was preceded in death by her parents; her twin sister, Leslie Ann Hammond on July 24, 2017; a maternal aunt, Alice Powers; and her mother-in-law, Carolyn Leslie. Surviving are husband, Ron Dean, Jr.; their daughter, Layla Dean; a special niece, Ashley Hammond; half-siblings, Geraldine & William Wiersma, Walter Johnson, and Alyssa Boyce; an uncle, Bob & Jolene Huey; father-in-law, Ron & Vicki Dean, Sr.; a brother-in-law, Donald Hammond II; her second “Mom” and best friend, Teresa Hammond; and many other dearly loved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Visitation is from 10-11 a.m. on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at Christiansen’s Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, 511 S. Franklin Street, Greenville, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Rev. Aaron Spratling, Senior Pastor of Greenville Community Church, will officiate and burial will take place privately in the spring at Riverside Cemetery in Langston.
