Linda Westenbroek

Linda Ruth Westenbroek (Kiekintveld- Bakker), age 60, of Holland, died peacefully Tuesday evening, August 6, 2013, at her home following complications with cancer. Born in Holland, she is the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph and Bernice Bakker. She had been a Holland resident all her life, and an active member at Central Wesleyan Church. She served special needs children at Ottawa Area Center and Holland CBI for a majority of her working years. Surviving are her three children, Mark and Sulema Kiekintveld of Grandville, Mrs. Alex (Amy) Akulli of Lynchburg, VA, and Mrs. Jon and (Julie) Brown of Nashville, TN; her two sisters, Mrs. John W. and (Shirley) Bakker of South Haven, and Mrs. Gerald B. (Hazel) of Grand Haven; and three grandchildren. Memorial services will be at 4 p.m. Friday, August 9, 2013, at Central Wesleyan Church, 446 W. 40th Street, Holland, MI 49423. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the church and Benjamin's Hope. Honoring her wishes, cremation will take place. Arrangements are entrusted to Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, Grand Rapids.
