It is with a sense of profound love and admiration that we celebrate the life of Linda Susan Obaseki, affectionately known as "LADY C". Born to the late Henry and Willie Mae Caldwell on May 19, 1953, in Chicago, Illinois. Linda was a vibrant, inspiring, and talented individual whose zest for life was contagious. A creative soul, she had an unmatched ability to fill any room with laughter and joy, bringing an enduring light to all who had the privilege of knowing her. A Farragut Career Academy High School and Debbie's School of Cosmetology graduate, Linda's drive and determination were evident early on. She worked as an Operating Room Technician at Loyola Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois. She went on to have a successful career in property management, where her resourcefulness and tenacity shone through. However, her unyielding commitment to her family truly defined Linda. She was a loving mother to Aretha (William) Caldwell-Thomas, Eric Caldwell-Obaseki, Andr'e (Domonique) Obaseki, Elizabeth (Curtis) McKinney, and Joey (Martha) Obaseki. A doting grandmother and great-grandmother, her family was her greatest joy and she treasured every moment spent with them. Her faith played a significant role in her life, serving as the choir director at her church Greater Christian Light M.B. (Chicago), Mid-City Missionary Baptist & Mount Moriah (Grand Rapids, Michigan). She found solace and strength in her faith, which guided her in her daily life. As stated in Psalms 9:1, "I will give thanks to you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of ALL your wonderful deeds." Her Love for Christ was shared with a "Hallelujah Thank You Jesus", no matter where she went she told the world without restraint.
