Linda Haight

Linda Lee (Cole) Haight, age 85, of Howard City, passed away Monday, March 10, 2025, at home under the care of her son, Timothy, and Corewell Health Hospice. The daughter of Jack & Virginia Cole, she was born January 24, 1940, in Raleigh, North Carolina. On January 23, 1960, she married Warren Clive Haight and together they enjoyed fifty-seven years of marriage and raised one son. Linda enjoyed having lively conversations with her family and was famous for her jokes and one-liners. Her companion cats – Molly, Stevie and Allen – were always by her side. She was a gracious host and content in her role as a homemaker maintaining a spotless home. Linda was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and all of her siblings. Surviving is her son, Timothy Haight (Lisa Surman) of Rockford; three grandchildren, Elizabeth McCarthy, Sarah (Omar) Todd, and Michael (Mary) McCarthy; six great-grandchildren, Andrew Sullivan, Brayden Flodin, Saoirse McCarthy, Deaglan McCarthy, Caoimhe McCarthy, and Miles Todd; three sisters-in-law, LuAnn (Roy) Moff, Jill Hall, and Mary Haight; brother-in-law Roger Weed; and numerous nieces and nephews. Her family is grateful for the loving care provided by Christina, Theresa, Maria and Ashley while tending to Linda’s needs. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
