Linda Gullekson

October 21, 1953 — December 18, 2023

With a heart full of love and a spirit as beautiful as the lilacs she adored, Linda Lou Gullekson (nee Jost), affectionately known as "Cookie Grandma,” left this earthly realm on December 18, 2023. Born on October 21, 1953, in Mitchell, South Dakota, Linda's life was a tapestry of love, service, and dedication that radiated in her every action and warmed every heart she touched. Her radiant soul and unwavering commitment to her loved ones were the cornerstones of her existence, and they shone brightly in everything she did. Linda was a dedicated mother and loving grandmother. Linda's love for her family was a beacon that guided her every step. She was the unceasing cheerleader for her children, standing by their side in every endeavor, and her joy was magnified whenever she was in the presence of her grandchildren, Madison, Griffin, and Natalie. She loved baking cookies (earning her the moniker 'Cookie Grandma') and attending her children's and grandchildren’s events. She was a pillar of strength and love for her family, always wanting them to be happy, safe, and secure. Now, Linda rests in the company of those who went before her: her beloved husband, Don Gullekson; her father, Leonard Jost; her mother, Lillian Jost; and her siblings, Judy and Ronald Jost. Yet her legacy lives on in the hearts of those she left behind: her children, Kim (Jason) Jancek, Jeff (Gena) Gullekson, and Lindsey Gullekson; her sister and brother-in-law, Sandy (Randy) Eden; and her cherished grandchildren. In the words of the Apostle Paul, "So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love." (1 Corinthians 13:13). Linda's life was the epitome of this verse, and her love will continue to guide and inspire all who were blessed to know her. Please join us in celebrating Linda's life by sharing memories, stories, and photographs on her memorial page by visiting www.MichiganCremation.com.
