Linda Doane

Linda Diane (Klompstra) Doane, born on June 20, 1948, passed away surrounded by loved ones on November 22, 2022, after her hard-fought battle with cancer. She was the daughter of John & Viola Lawrence and Sam Klompstra. Linda had three brothers, Dennis, Richard and Mark Klompstra. In 1965, Linda married her husband, Dale Doane and went on to have three loving children, Dawn (Roger) Erickson, Todd (Debbie) Doane, and Chad (Lisa) Doane. Linda had seven grandchildren who thought the world of her and ten great-grandchildren that loved spending time with her. Linda dedicated her life to being a wonderful and loving wife, mother and grandmother. Linda was an avid quilter and made sure to spread the love she had with her quilts. She made sure that every quilt she made was wrapping the recipient in a warm hug. When she was not making quilts for her loved ones, Linda would make quilts to donate to the Devos Children's Hospital. Linda was an excellent baker and cook and everyone always looked forward to going to Linda's to fresh baked cookies and a warm meal made with love and heart. Linda was supportive of her entire family and so welcoming to all who joined the family. Everyone will miss her dearly but thankful to know she is with her mother and father in God's Kingdom of Heaven.
