Mrs. Linda Kay Bell, age 56, of Trufant, passed away at home late Monday evening, March 13, 2006 under the loving care of her family and Hospice. The daughter of Howard & Gloria A. (Madsen) Wittkopp, she was born on June 23, 1949 in Greenville. After graduating high school, Linda attended college and later began working at Federal-Mogul in Greenville. Linda was a loving wife, mother, and grandma who enjoyed the outdoors... especially hunting, and riding dirt bikes and snowmobiles, among other interests. She will always be remembered by her family and friends for the courage, physical strength, and emotional will she possessed while she battled the effects of multiple sclerosis for 18 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a step-son, Gary Bell. Surviving are her husband, Gary A. Bell of Trufant; a son, Chris Bell & Brenda Frye of Trufant; a daughter, Brandy Bell & Andrew Cunningham of Cedar Springs; three very special grandsons who brought hope and joy to her daily life, Troy, Damian, and Tyler Bell, all at home; three step-children, Kim St. John of Virginia, Tracy & John Lynk of Connecticut, and Lawrence Bell & Tammy Richmond of Carson City; many step-grandchildren and one step-great grandson; her best friend, Vickie Grant-Christensen; her special friend and caregiver, Suzanne Rasmussen; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 17, 2006 at the Cowden Lake Christian Church, Coral, with Pastor Lynne Kronewitter officiating. Honoring Lindas wishes, cremation has taken place and final interment will be in Trufant Cemetery later in the spring. Instead of flowers, relatives and friends are asked to consider the wishes of the family. Envelopes for contributions will be available at the church.
The Brown-Teman & Christiansen Funeral Home, Greenville, is serving the family and has been entrusted with the arrangements.
