The daughter of Robert & Ruth (Dooling) Lepley, she was born on February 4, 1945 in Grand Rapids. On January 6, 1962 she married David Ross Lowry and together they enjoyed 51 years of marriage and raised two children. A devoted wife and mother, Lillian was a volunteer with the Montcalm County 4-H Fair Association for over 30 years, served as a den mother and Girl Scout leader for her children, and co-founded, with long-time friend Diane Briggs, the Lakeview Horse Club. Surviving are her husband, David Lowry; their children, Robert Bob Lowry and Trina & Joe Edmondson; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four sisters, Betty, Lucy Dawn, Madeline and Rose; and many nephews, nieces, cousins, in-laws and friends, as well as four special pets -- two dogs and two cats. Honoring her wishes no formal services will be held, however, relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Lillians life from 2-5 p.m. on Saturday, September 14, 2013 at the Hough Pontius VFW Post, 8968 N. Greenville Road, Lakeview (located on M-91 just south of the M-46 intersection). Instead of flowers, Lillian asked that those wishing to give a lasting tribute make donations to the Montcalm County 4-H Fair Association, which may be given at any Chemical Bank. Arrangements were entrusted to Christiansen Cremation & Funeral Care, Greenville. To order memorial trees or send flowers to the family in memory of Lillian Lowry, please visit our flower store.
