Leroy King

Leroy King, age 80, of Lansing, Michigan, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 3, 2023. He was born May 23, 1943, in St. Pauls, North Carolina, to the late LeeJeff and Madgie (Esters) King. Leroy worked as a brick mason until 1999 when he retired. He enjoyed wood crafting, fishing, canning, and plants. Leroy was a member of Second New Light Memorial Baptist Church, the Free Builders Organization, and of the Spring Branch Masonic Lodge. Survivors include his daughters, Joan and Kim King; grandchildren, Christopher King, Terrance Dickerson, Akeeno King, and Frankie Price; great-grandchildren, Jaiden Miller, Joziah Price, and Jade Price; sisters, Ruthie Nelson and Lillian Stewart; and sister-in-law, Lena Pearl King. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Pamela Woosley and seven of his siblings. Per his wishes cremation has taken place and no formal services will be held at this time. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staffs of Regency of West Lansing and Heart to Heart Hospice for their care and compassion throughout this difficult time.
