Leopoldo Trevino

Leopoldo Trevino Jr., age 49, of Battle Creek, battled kidney and colon cancer for many years and on November 28, 2018, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family to Lung Cancer. He was born in Prosser, Washington, on April 2, 1969, to Leopoldo Sr. and Maria (Garza) Trevino. He worked many years for Consumer's Energy as a meter reader, lineman, and submetro mechanic. Leopoldo was a Faithful Detroit sports fan and enjoyed gambling. He was always on the move and if you stopped by his home you would find him out working on his yard, car, or some sort of wood project to keep busy. Leopoldo loved grilling and cooking meals for his family and watching the cooking and discovery channel. Survivors include his four children, Cruz, Mercedez, Miquel (Amber), and Lee Trevino; six grandchildren, Kyria, Gabe, Rider, Dawson, Mia, and Leo; mother, Maria Trevino; siblings, Alex (Michelle), Rey (Marlyn), Johnny (Ginny), Susan, and Sandra (Bruce); and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Leopoldo was preceded in death by his father, Leopoldo Sr.; brother, Danny Avendano; and brother-in-law, Bruce Davis. Arrangements were entrusted to Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, Grand Rapids.
