Mr. Leo Irving Swartz, age 95, of Coral, formerly of Langston, passed away Friday evening, March 31, 2006 at Kathys Countryside Adult Foster Care Home, Coral. The son of Irving & Myrtle (Bunnel) Swartz, he was born on July 3, 1910 in Boyne Falls. Although born with dwarfism, among other disabilities, Leo made the most of life and was a very talented artist. He enjoyed painting and drawing, but delighted in knitting, hand stitching, and embroidery. He gave his works to many friends and even to presidents and governors. Having reached the age of 95 years, 8 months, and 28 days, he was one of the worlds oldest living little people. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Luella A. Cole on Aug. 16, 1990; and a brother-in-law, Benjamin F. Cole on Aug. 25, 1990. He is survived by many special friends and caregivers. Graveside committal services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 5, 2006 at Riverside Cemetery, Langston. Visitation is Tuesday from 4-6 p.m. at the Brown-Teman & Christiansen Funeral Home, 511 S. Franklin Street, Greenville.
