Leo Matthew "Red" Nawrocki, a longtime resident of Michigan, passed away on February 17, 2026, in Jenison, Michigan. Born on April 18, 1935, in Alto, Michigan, Leo lived a full and vibrant life that touched the hearts of many. He was married to his wife of 65 years Sharon (TenElshof) Nawrocki who preceded him in death in November of 2022.

Leo was the beloved brother of Mary Ann, Esther, Sally, Betty, Patricia, Richard, and

Bonnie. His family was central to his life and brought him great joy throughout the years. He was a devoted father to his sons: Robert (Darlene) Nawrocki, Steve Nawrocki, and Mike (Darcey) Nawrocki.

Leo's legacy continues through his grandchildren—Stefanie (Ben), Krista (Brad), Nick (Kelsey), and Max (special friend McKenna)—and his great-grandchildren: Briella, Landen, Lakeland, Ryker, and Ryatt.

Throughout his life, Leo found happiness in both simple pleasures and cherished traditions. He was an avid golfer who enjoyed spending time on the greens with friends and family. Bowling was another pastime that brought him camaraderie and fun over the years. For twelve memorable years, Leo and Sharon relished their time at Sandy Pines—a place that became a haven for relaxation and enjoyment and making family memories !

Leo's presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His memory will live on in the stories shared by his loved ones and in the traditions he helped create.

May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him.
