Larry Swain

Larry Dan Swain, age 76, of Lansing, passed away peacefully on October 9, 2018 with family by his side. The son of L.D. & Mary (Wright) Swain, he was born on February 8, 1942 in Lansing. Larry proudly served his country in the United States Air Force as a weapons mechanic. Larry was the beloved husband of Nancy Swain; father to Steven Swain & Lori Lanford, Susan & Derik Gillies; step-dad to Tina & Brian Buck, Aaron Post & Amanda Bogart, Christopher & Lisa Post; grandpa to Brandon, Eric, Ben, Max, Emma and Caleb; brother to Darrel & Judy Swain and Lynne & Craig Brown; as well as uncle to Carrie, Annmarie, Matt, Dave, Ryan & Drew. Larry worked for Superior Electric of Lansing for over 30 years. He had a passion for challenges of all kinds, he loved his sailboat and woodworking. Larry was a friend and teacher to many.
