He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Sokoloski. He is survived by his mother, Virginia Sokoloski, brother Mike (Bonnie) Sokoloski, sister Kathy Welborn; daughters, Kendra (Steve) Brovont and Rachel Sokoloski; grandchildren, Cade, Ellis, and Brayden; along with several nieces and nephews.
An avid outdoorsman, his favorite times were those spent hunting and fishing, especially the years he lived in Alaska and worked as a commercial fisherman. He had a voracious appetite for literature and relished his ability to solve almost anything you threw at him, whether it be a mechanical problem, developing an algorithm to teach you how to correctly spell antidisestablishmentarianism (thanks dad), or fixing horse related damages (thanks again, dad). The few he was closest to will miss his endless sarcasm, quick wit, and dry sense of humor. We pray he may he finally find his peace.
Arrangements are entrusted to Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, Grand Rapids.
