Larry Durham Schroeder. Age 86, of Gowen, Michigan, formerly of Grand Rapids, Michigan, passed away Friday, October 10, 2025, at Corewell Health-Greenville Hospital. The son of Raymond Charles and Carolyn Hattie (Durham) Schroeder, he was born on June 6, 1939, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and on July 19, 1969, married Carol Ann Beugelink. Together they enjoyed 56 years of marriage, and enjoyed many years sailing on Lake Michigan in the summer.
He was an avid fan of Notre Dame and Lewis Hamilton, and in more recent years enjoyed his “Bloody Mary Sundays” with all his friends at Lincoln Pines.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister Marian Czarnopys.
Surviving are his wife, Carol Ann Schroeder; two sons, Sanford Schroeder of Bozeman, Montana, and Mark and Kimberly Ann Schroeder of Grand Rapids, Michigan; two grandsons, Andrew Schroeder and his fiancé, Holly, and Matthew and Traci Schroeder; four great-grandsons, Henrik Schroeder, Lukas Schroeder, Frederick Schroeder, and Niklas Schroeder; and special friends, Mike Dolby and Andy Kauffman.
