Larry Lee Fulger, Sr., age 73, of Greenville, passed away Wednesday evening, May 31, 2017 at Spectrum Health-Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids. The son of Donna Marie (Cross) Guild & Daniel Fulger, he was born on February 8, 1944 in Lansing.
After graduating high school, Larry worked at GM's Fisher Body plant and attended Lansing Community College where he earned a small engine repair diploma. On July 6, 1973, in Lansing, he married Carol Irene Rush. In addition to working in other factory and security jobs, he operated a small engine repair business as well as a hobby farm and retired from Meijer in Greenville.
Larry loved the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, riding motorcyles, and being on the lake in his pontoon. He was a member of the Gowen Bible Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two infant children, Lisa and John; a daughter, Kaylene Marie; a granddaughter, Stephanie Lea Kirby; and two brothers, Daniel Fulger and Irvin Fulger. Surviving are his wife of almost 44 years, Carol Fulger of Greenville; their children, Larry & Terrie Fulger, Jr., Alisa & William Kirby, all of Sheridan, Irvin Fulger of Orleans, and Terri & Charles Noll of Sheridan; twenty-one grandchildren; thirty-five great grandchildren; a sister, Caroline Casler of Muskegon; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation is from 10:00 a.m. to 12 Noon on Monday at Christiansen Cremation & Funeral Care, 511 S. Franklin Street, Greenville, where funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Monday. The Rev. Zachary Nyhuis, pastor of Gowen Bible Church, will officiate and burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Lansing at 2:30 p.m. on Monday.
