Larry Cole

Larry Duane Cole, age 81, of Fenwick, passed away Saturday, April 1, 2023 at The Laurels of Carson City. The son of Ralph William & Mildred Rose (Evans) Cole, was born on April 22, 1941 in Ionia. A skilled craftsman, for over 51 years Larry worked as a home improvement contractor specializing in residential siding, door and window installations. His former coworkers called him, "The King," because he had worked in home improvement the longest, and was one of the most knowledgeable in the company. He was happiest spending time with friends, family, and loved ones for any kind of gathering that included good food. He was always lending a hand and advice to anyone with a home improvement project. He liked spending time outdoors, BBQing, fishing, and relaxing. He loved animals, especially his dog, Jesse. He was a dear friend, a beloved brother, husband, father, and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Kathyn Joy Cole and Gayla Gladding; brothers-in-law, Kenneth Worthington and Alan Adgate; sister-in-law, Jane Chun; nephews, Randy Gladding and Tarian Worthington. Surviving are his wife, Colette Cole of Fenwick; their daughter, Stephanie and Matthew Bour of Lansing; two step-children, Lisa Sayers of Saranac, and Chris Sayers of Ionia; a grandson, Elric Bour, and a step-granddaughter, Andrea Sayers; brothers and sisters, Virginia Worthington, Wayne and Kitty Cole, and Kathy and Ray Batchelor; brother-in-law, Albert Chun; and fourteen nieces and nephews.
