Lanny Davis

Lanny Lee Davis, age 82, of Edmore passed away on Monday, February 13, 2023 at Spectrum Health Kelsey Hospital in Lakeview. The son of Robert & Opal (Courser) Davis, he was born on August 10, 1940 in McBride. Lanny was raised in McBride and attended Edmore High School, graduating in 1958. On July 2, 1983, he married Barbara Jean Chaney. Lanny worked for the Michigan Department of Corrections until his retirement, and loved deer hunting, fishing, and gardening. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, and mother of his three children, Lanette; his second wife, Barbara; a brother, Richard Davis; and a brother-in-law, Bill Jenison. Surviving are two sons, Jeff Davis of Riverdale and Todd Davis of Blanchard; a daughter, Mindy (Jack) Maxon of Harrisburg, Oregon; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Randy (Julie) Davis of Six Lakes; a sister, Judy Jenison of Elm Hall; a sister-in-law, Roxann Davis of Indianapolis, Indiana; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. In keeping with Lanny's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private committal service will take place in the summer.
