Ms. Lannie Lee Biggin, age 46, of Sand Lake, passed away Friday, Jan. 4, 2008 at Spectrum Health-Butterworth Hospital, Grand Rapids. The daughter of Leonard & JoAnne (Hoyland) Nemetz, she was born on June 27, 1961 in Lansing. Lannie had attended Montcalm Community College, and had worked at the Eyeglass Factory, as well as the Cedar Springs American Legion. A loving mother and grandmother, she found her greatest joy in life by spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Linda Nemetz; and a sister-in-law, Monica Nemetz. Surviving are her three children, Timothy Rogers of Sheridan, Erica & Phillip Ewing, James Biggin and Vanessa Ramirez, all of Stanton; a grandson, Trenten Ewing; two granddaughters, Tia Ewing, and Justyce Rogers; special friend, Al Valdez and his parents, MaryAnne & Earl Kendall, of Sand Lake; a sister, Melonie Nemetz of Lansing; three brothers, Duane & Roxanne Hoyland of Lansing, Lonnie Nemetz of Sheridan, and Leonard & Allie Nemetz, Jr. of DeWitt; and her step-mother, Karen Nemetz. Also surviving are several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins; and many dear friends.
Memorial services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2008 from Beth Haven Baptist Church, east of Greenville on Hwy. M-57 at Brown Road, Sheridan, with a time of food and fellowship following the service. The Rev. Kevin Crowell, pastor of Beth Haven Baptist Church, will officiate.
