Kristin Braat

Kristin Jean Braat, of Jenison, passed away unexpectedly on January 5, 2025, at the age of 63. Kris was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and niece who is now in the arms of Jesus. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mark Braat; her son, Joshua Braat; and her mother, Norma Peterson. Kris leaves behind her cherished children: Mark (Mary) Braat II, Ashley (Andy) Brown, Tony Braat, daughter in heart, Stacy Kryzkwa-Hoover; aunts Bonnie (Jim) Linscott, and Cheri Crick; sister Jane (Bill) Ketchum; and special great nieces and nephews. Her legacy lives on through her adored grandchildren: Makenzie Downs, Joshua Braat Jr., Hendrik Brown, Addison Brown, Leland Braat, and Margaret Braat. They were the lights of her life, and she loved spending every moment with them. Kris found her greatest joy in the presence of her children and grandchildren. She treasured family time above all, sharing many moments and memories with them. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to C.S. Mott Children's Hospital- Congenital Heart Center in honor of Margaret Braat or Helen Devos Children's Pediatric Oncology Unit in honor of Hendrik Brown.
