Koren Frisch

Koren "Connie" Fae Frisch, age 76, of Vicksburg, peacefully passed away on Monday, November 25, 2024 after a 7-year battle with lung cancer. Connie was surrounded by her family. She was born on April 28, 1948, in Kalamazoo, to Harry & Gertrude (Lesman) Boodt. Connie married Alvin "Al" Frisch on March 1, 1969, in Portage. He preceded her in death on December 6, 2019. Connie graduated from Comstock Community Adult Education with her GED in 1985 and began her career with Vicksburg Schools in 1986. She worked at Vicksburg Schools in the cafeteria for 24 years and retired in 2010, but missed being with the kids and returned as a cashier in the cafeteria at Tobey Elementary until the end of 2020. Connie enjoyed spending time with friends and family, especially her great grandchildren who were her absolute pride and joy. She loved to laugh and make others laugh. She is survived by her two daughters, Tina (Jeff) Bannister and Michelle (Mark) Johnson; daughter in law Sheila (Al Jr.) Frisch, grandchildren Alyssa and Codey Frisch, Caitlin and Chris Bannister, Liz Johnson, Danny Vannoller; her great grandchildren Kyler, Chamberlain, Jaydon and Bentley; siblings, Ron (Sue) Boodt, Lindy Bryant and Kathy Markword and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin; son, Al (Topper) Jr.; her parents Harry and Gertrude Boodt, her brother Ken Boodt and her sisters Sharon (Ron) Barringer, Charlotte (Dave) Robinson and Nancy (Carl) Hill. A Celebration Luncheon will be held from 2-5 pm on December 14, 2024 at Vicksburg Bible Church, 11988 S. Sprinkle Road, Vicksburg.
