Kenneth Wingard

Kenneth Wingard, age 74, of Casnovia, passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2022. He was born on April 25, 1948, in Grand Rapids, to Max & Cora Wingard. Ken grew up in Rockford, Michigan where he graduated from Rockford High School in 1966. He continued his education at Ferris State University. He married his wife Anna on January 3, 1992, in a small family ceremony. He and Anna celebrated 30 years of marriage together this past January. After retiring from GE Aviation in 2012, Ken enjoyed traveling in and around Michigan with his wife, Anna and dog, Elliott. He also enjoyed spending his days and weekends surrounded by his children and grandchildren. Ken had a love for the outdoors, tubing, skiing, boating, reading and his many sports teams. A beloved husband, loving father, and caring grandfather, Ken has left behind a legacy of laughter, hard work, a generous spirit, and a deep love for family and friends that will make him greatly missed. He is survived by his wife Anna; four daughters, Alison Wingard, Wendy (Scott) Kleiber, Andrea (Paul) Thomas, and Kimberly Vargo. Along with his seven grandchildren, Baylee, Cait, Laney, Lance, Zach, Anna, and Morgan. Ken's celebration of life will be held Monday, August 29, 2022, at City Church, 3233 10 Mile Rd NE, Rockford, MI. The family will welcome visitors from 10-11am with service to follow at 11am. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Ken's name to Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital and Kids' Food Basket.
