Mr. Kenneth L. Rich, age 76, of Greenville, passed away Tuesday morning, June 27, 2006 at Metron of Greenville. The youngest son of Clyde and Goldie (Davis) Rich, he was born on September 18, 1929 in Greenville. A devoted father, Ken lived for his children. He also enjoyed country music and used to sing in a band years ago. Ken also delighted in watching old western movies (especially John Wayne), tinkering with old cars, and going for scenic drives. He retired from the former Gibson Refrigerator Company where he worked in quality control.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Herbert Rich; two sisters, Doris Young and Rosella Dakin; and two brothers-in-law, Marshall Richardson, and Howard Dakin; and a great-grandson, Andrew Briscoe.
Surviving are a son, Tom & Gloria Rich of Greenville; three daughters, Betty & Pat Gonzalez of Greenville, Joetta & Joe Adgate of Traverse City, Carol & Todd Klein of Greenville; grandchildren, Thomas L. Rich, Pat Gonzalez III and Jen Schmidt, Angie & Raul Montero, Mercedes Gonzalez, Marco Bilello & Mandy Beemer, Andria Bilello & Tommy Erickson, Josh Klein, Nathan Klein; three great grandsons, Brenden, Enrique, and Christian; a sister, Virginia Richardson of Greenville; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 29, 2006 at the Brown-Teman & Christiansen Funeral Home, 511 S. Franklin Street, Greenville, with Pastor Ken Harger of Shiloh Community Church officiating. Burial, with military honors, will follow at East Montcalm Cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home, where envelopes for memorial contributions to Patient Activities Fund at Metron of Greenville are available.
