Kenneth Lee Perdue, 74, of Greenville passed away on December 30th, 2023 surrounded by family. Ken was born on December 23rd, 1949 to Johanna and Edward Perdue of Greenville. After graduating from Greenville High School, Ken briefly attended Ferris State college with intent to become an ophthalmologist. Ken was a hardworking person and went on to work at Tower Automotive for over 40 years until retirement. After retirement, Ken enjoyed golfing, long walks, friendly conversation with anyone he met, and reminiscing but his family was most important to him. His children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the absolute joy of his life. They will all remember him as the best "Papa" ever! Ken will be remembered for his friendly demeanor and great sense of humor that he kept until the very end. He was preceded in death by his parents, Johanna & Edward Perdue He is dearly missed by his three children, Michelle J. Perdue of Greenville, Roman M. & Lori Perdue of Surprise, Arizona, and Daniel E. Perdue of Greenville; four grandchildren, Prisciliano B. & Mariah Nieto, Jr. of Clarksville, Netane R. & Kyle Albert of Greenville, Nathaniel R. Nieto of Greenville and Chloe J. Perdue of Greenville; four beautiful great-grandchildren (one of which carries his namesake) Easton, Wyatt, Octavia and Tripp. The family would love to give a special thanks to everyone involved in his care, with special mention to Michael Merren, Bonnie K, and Mandy K. Their compassionate and loving care for Ken at the end of his life will always be remembered. A service will be held in celebration of Ken’s life in the spring of 2024, which will be announced at a later date on this site. His life was a testament to the adage that the measure of a man is not in the wealth he accumulates, but in his integrity and his ability to positively affect those around him.
