Kenneth "Kenny" Hoggro, born March 12, 1951, in Los Angeles, California, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2026, in Michigan at the age of 75 after a courageous battle with Cancer. 

Kenny lived a life overflowing with Love, Music, and an unwavering Faith in the Lord. From his early days in Los Angeles, Kenny demonstrated an incredible passion for Music and learning. He loved skating and was one of Top Skaters at Hollywood skating Rink. His journey took him through Gompers Jr. High, Fremont/Locke High, LA Southwest College, and the School of Music in Los Angeles, where he honed his musical Talents and earned a certificate in Broadcast Cable, Electrical Wiring, and Electronics. He was a member of Christian faith, always studying and sharing the word of God.

Kenny's Professional career was as diverse as his interests. He contributed his talents to LAUSB ext. Music from 1969 to 1972, served diligently with the USPS in Los Angeles from 1991 to 1996, and exhibited his expertise at L.A. Broadcast/ Cable Services from 1991 to 2000. A proud Veteran, Kenny served in the United States Army during the 1970s, embodying commitment and discipline.

Music was not just a profession but a lifelong passion for Kenny. Alongside his best friend of over 60yrs. Chris, he co-founded an R&B musical group creating melodies that resonated with many. Whether he was singing, writing, teaching, or playing instruments, Kenny's connection to music was profound. His extensive collection of Music was a testament to this Love.

Beyond his professional achievements, Kenny's heart lay with his family and faith. He cherished reading his Bible and spreading the word of the Lord. His marriage to Lynell Clark Hoggro spanned over 28 years, marked by deep love and companionship. Family meant everything to him, including his beloved daughter Marshay Hoggro, and his surviving sisters Shirley, Licshell, Yvonne, and Kay Debra Hoggro, along with numerous nieces, nephews, stepchildren, cousins, and friends. A special place in his heart was reserved for his special niece Adrinna.
Kenny was preceded in death by his Father Leroy Hoggro, Mother Pearlie Hoggro, three sisters: Annie Mae Collins, Clara Collins Johnson, Everdeen Hoggro Booker, and his brother John Henry Hoggro. 

In every aspect of his life, Kenny embodied resilience, creativity, and a God-fearing spirit. He leaves behind a legacy of unfinished and finished Music, and countless memories of his kindness and determination.

A celebration of Kenny's life will honor his impact as a musician, mentor, family man, and devout Christian. His love for challenges, whether it was fixing electronics or cars, and his commitment to spreading joy through music, will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege to know him.
