Keith Haveman

Keith Dwayne Haveman, age 72, of Sheridan, Michigan, passed away Sunday, May 12, 2024 at home under the loving care of his family and Corewell Health Hospice. The son of Harvey Floyd & Thelma Evelyn (Durga) Haveman, he was born on November 13, 1951 in Muskegon, Michigan. On September 1, 2006, in Greenville, he married Wendy L. (Goupell) Schultz and together they enjoyed over 17 years of marriage. Keith retired from the former General Motors plant on 36th Street in Wyoming where he worked as a tool and die maker for over 20 years. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was a skilled woodworker and metal craftsman… creating works that will long be treasured by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and three sisters-in-law, Teresa Lyons, Mae Holland, and Paulette Goupell. Surviving are his wife, Wendy Haveman of Sheridan; his children, Dawn Haveman of Cadillac, Sherry & Charles Kitchen, Jr. of Waynetown, Indiana, Jennifer Haveman of Benzonia, Christy & Kenneth Wood of Copmish, William Schultz of Belding, Aaron Haveman, Rachel Haveman, and Amber Haveman; eleven grandchildren; eight great-grandhcildren; a brother, Ellis Haveman; a half-brother, Charles Nickerson; a brother-in-law, William Goupell; and several nieces and nephews. A private celebration of life will be held at the family home at a later date.
