Keith Ellison

Keith E. Ellison, age 80, of Rockford, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 20, 2020, at home under the loving care of his family and Spectrum Health Hospice. He was born on October 25, 1939, in Barton Township, to the late Earl & Vada (Carey) Ellison. Keith married Barbara Ann Taylor on June 20, 1959, in Paris, MI. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for many enjoyable years prior to his retirement. Keith enjoyed hunting, golf and the outdoors. He was a handyman always with perfection in mind. He cherished his time spent with family and friends throughout his lifetime. Survivors include his wife, Barbara; sons, Rex (Catherine) and Steve (Trish) Ellison; grandchildren, Ryan, Sarah, Anna and James; brothers, Richard (Nancy) and Gerald (Emma); and sister, Carole Littlefield. He is preceded in death by his brother, Earl Ellison. In lieu of flowers or charities, Keith's family asks that everyone find that kind soul inside themselves and make a positive difference for their remaining days here on earth.
