Kay Lynn Grundy, age 63, of Belding, Michigan, passed away Saturday, March 14, 2026 at her home under the loving care of her family and Corewell Health Hospice.

She was preceded in death by her parents. Surviving are her husband, Steve Grundy; their children, Jennifer Palethorpe of Greenville, Justin Palethorpe of Crystal, and Amy Grundy of Belding; nine grandchildren (whom she adored), Dakota Lanning, Joseph Lanning, Olivia Palethorpe, Corbin Palethorpe, Austin Palehtorpe, Chance Palethorpe, Hailey Bingaman, Caitlyn Bingaman, and Kinsley Slocum; a brother, Phillip Powell & Janet VanOstendorp of Belding; a sister, Kim & Scott Patrick of Belding; an aunt, Connie Parker & James Washburn of Oklahoma; siblings-in-law, Rick & Jody Grundy, Debbie Hannah, Jimmy Grundy, Donna Martin; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and her faithful canine companion, Bella.

The daughter of Roy Otis & Sharon Marie (Oyler) Powell, she was born on February 11, 1963 in Ionia, Michigan. On July 3, 1992, at Orleans, Michigan, she was united in marriage Steven Ray Grundy by the late Pastor Ken Harger. Together, she and Steve enjoyed nearly 34 years of marriage and raised three children.

Kay Lynn had worked at Paulstra CRC in Grand Rapids until her health forced her into retirement. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Kay also enjoyed fishing.
