Kay Chaney-Hicks

Kay Chaney-Hicks, age 64, of Gowen, passed away Tuesday evening, January 18, 2022 at Spectrum Health-United Hospital in Greenville. The daughter of Edward & Bessie (Kasper) VanDyke, she was born on January 4, 1958 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Tuesday evening Kay delighted in trips to the casino, was a winning poker player, and also enjoyed watching game shows and playing games of chance online. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward & Bessie VanDyke; and her brother, Glenn VanDyke Surviving are her husband, Rick Hicks of Gowen; her daughter and son-in-law, Annie & Darin Nickerson of Conklin; two step-children, Chase Hicks of Hollywood, Florida, and Mary & John Tubergen of Grand Rapids; four grandchildren Brett (Megan) Nickerson, Mercedes Nickerson, Nichole Nickerson and Devin Nickerson; Great-grandchildren Jack, Anniemae, Gamble, Madison, Audie and Atlas; brothers and sisters, Eileen House, Don (Deb) VanDyke, Tracy VanDyke, Ed VanDyke, William (Billy) VanDyke, Sarie (Rob) Marvin, Berdeana (Kevin) Matthews, and Monica Young; siblings-in-law, Catherine Hicks & John Kenny of Belding, Jack & Bonnie Hicks of Greenville, Robert Hicks of Carson City, and Scott & Karen Hicks of Belding; and several nieces and nephews.
