Kathleen "Dolly" (Kranenberg) Loper, age 84, of Wyoming, Michigan, was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on Monday, November 8, 2021. She was born March 22, 1937, in Grand Rapids, MI, to the late Stanley and Evelyn (Wynalda) Kranenberg. Dolly married the love of her life, DeWayne "Wayne" Loper on August 11, 1956. Together they raised four children and celebrated 50 years of marriage before Wayne passed away on March 7, 2007.
Dolly was faithful to her Lord and cared deeply for others. She took joy in raising money for Pennies for Parkinson's Research and was known by many as Gramma Dolly.
Survivors include her three daughters, Kaylynn Loper, Judy (Dan) VanAllen, and Beth (Phil) Maddox; daughter-in-law, Kathy Loper; 5 grandchildren, Erin (Pat) Hendricks, Russell (Christina) VanAllen, Angela Bennett, Stanley Bennett, and Stanley Loper Jr.; 4 great-grandchildren, Austin Hendricks, Macie and Mollie Bennett, and McKenna Loper; 3 best friends, Gene and Gloria Morrison and Aunt Betty DeKorte; and many other relatives and friends.
Dolly was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne; her parents; and son, Stan.
Gathering of family and friends will take place on Saturday, December 4, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, 3627 Linden Avenue S.E., Grand Rapids, MI 49548, with a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Bruce Osbeck officiating.
