Katherine Snow

Katherine Jean Snow, age 74, of Newaygo, passed away Saturday, September 26, 2020 at Mission Point of Big Rapids under the care of Spectrum Health Hospice. The daughter of Walter Michael & Carole Rose (Tebo) Sadley, she was born on January 28, 1946 in Wayne. Katherine had earned Bachelor's degrees in both Criminal Justice and Social Work and had worked for the Department of Social Services in Osceola and Newaygo counties as a child protection worker. She was a member of the St. Bartholomew Church of Newaygo and volunteered for several years with the Families of Military members who sent out care packages for our troops. For her commitment to our service men and women, she received accolades from several United States Presidents and Michigan Governors. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a grandson, Marcus Anthony Sylvester. Surviving are her two children, Cece Sadley and Mark Sylvester; a granddaughter, Ashley; a great-grandson, Kayden; and many friends in and around Newaygo.
