Katherine Shockency

Katherine Shockency, age 85, of Wyoming, passed away Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at Spectrum Health-Butterworth Hospital. Survived by her children, Rosemarie (Danny), James, Michael, Steve, Dan (Debby), Linda (Don) and Mary (Jack), thirteen grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, Jenny & Dewey; and six siblings. Katherine was considered Grandma to many people. She enjoyed spending time at casinos, walking the mall with her daughter Linda, loved to have her fingernails painted and watching many different game shows. Her daughter Rose spent many years as the caregiver for Katherine. She had a brilliant memory and was a person who made a lot from nothing. She was also a great cook. Katherine is loved and will be deeply missed. Thanks Mom. Memorial Services are at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at New Hope Free Methodist Church, 5665 Eastern Ave, SE, Grand Rapids.
