Mrs. Katherine G. Shindorf-Dilley, age 85, of Belding, passed away Wednesday morning, April 5, 2006 under the loving care of her family and Hospice at home. The daughter of John W. & Olive Anna (Benedict) Hansen, she was born on Aug. 20, 1920 in Greenville. For 20 years she worked at Jolly Kids in Belding, then at Extruded Metals, and retired from the former Gibson Refrigerator Company. She enjoyed handicrafts and spending the winters in Hudson, Florida. Bunny was a member of the Travel Club of the Midwest and the Snowdrifters Snowmobile Club. She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son, John Shindorf; and two husbands, Arnold Shindorf on Jan. 16, 1970, and Alfred Dilley on Jan. 7, 1995. Surviving are three daughters and sons-in-law, Trudy & Tony Warner of Belding, Geraldine & Robert Bradley of Florida, and Carole & Jerold Fassett of Wyoming; three step-children and their families, Ronald & Fern Dilley of Lansing, Andrew & Betty Hudson of Mason, and Martha Dilley of Seminole, Fla.; her former son-in-law, David Cowles of Belding; siblings-in-law, Sally Holbrook of Belding, Jack & Beverly Hessler of Belding, Madeline Kahley of Arizona; Charles & Betty Rutz of Ionia, Henry & Treva Shindorf of Ionia, Bernard & Hilda Shindorf of Sheridan, and Ann Shindorf of Pewamo; 16 grandchildren; many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside committal services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 8, 2006 at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Belding. Honoring her wishes, cremation has taken place. The Brown-Teman & Christiansen Funeral Home, Greenville, is serving the family and was entrusted with the arrangements.
