Katherine Mcninch

Katherine Harriett McNinch, age 78 of Belding, Michigan, passed away Saturday, May 10, 2025 at the Newaygo County Compassion Home. The daughter of William Anthony & Helen Harriett (Austin) Richter, she was born on June 27, 1946, in Reed City, and was a member of the 1964 class of Marywood Academy in Grand Rapids. She later obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in English and Communication Arts from Aquinas College and was a tax coordinator with the Amway Company for over twenty years and later Steelcase. Katherine was a unique blend of grace and determination, an individual who created her own path in life, a "stubborn sweetheart" who cherished her family above all else. She possessed an insatiable sweet tooth, enjoying Swiss rolls, ice cream, and glorified rice, and found joy in the words spun by Danielle Steele novels. She was preceded in death by her parents. Surviving are her children, Mark (Candi) McNinch, and Angela (Randy) Bower; six grandchildren, Ashlinn, Aaron, Grady, Jayden, Lillian, and Hadleigh; four siblings, Tom (Katie) Richter, John (Barb) Richter, Marie (Cliff) Sedlacek, and Joe Richter, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
