Karen Mae "Kerry" Post, age 72, of Stanton, formerly of Lansing, passed away Saturday, August 22, 2015 at her home under the loving care of her family and Spectrum Health Hospice. The daughter of Robert & Irene Cowan, she was born on September 4, 1942 in Fort Scott, Kansas, and on June 8, 1963 she married Richard Lyle Post. For over 40 years they were active members of Parker Memorial Baptist Church in Lansing and Mrs. Post taught at Lansing Baptist School for over 25 years. In retirement they made their home near Stanton and were members of Beth Haven Baptist Church for the last 15 years. An avid reader, Kerry also enjoyed handicrafts, knitting, and crocheting, and time spent with family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant daughter, Suzy Kaye Post; and a brother, Bud Cowan. Surviving are her husband, Richard L. Post of Stanton; their daughter and son-in-law, Wendy & Rev. Sam Robinson of Fenton, Missouri; two sisters, Edwina Johnson and Pauline Spivey; several nieces and nephews; and many, many dear loved ones too numerous to count. The family will receive relatives and friends from 10-11 a.m. on Wednesday at Beth Haven Baptist Church, 1158 W Carson City Road (M-57), Sheridan, where memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday. Kerry's pastor, the Rev. Kevin Crowell, along her son-in-law, Rev. Sam Robinson, will officiate and a luncheon will follow the ceremony.
