Junior Williams

Junior Williams, age 80, of Greenville, formerly of Grand Rapids, passed away Sunday evening, Oct. 8, 2006 at home. A child of the Great Depression, he was born on May 26, 1926 in McKenzie, Tennessee, the son of Ed & Pauline (Hale) Williams. He briefly served in the U.S. Army. On March 27, 1954, in Mississippi, he married Reba Lavay Mayo. Junior retired from Kent Foundry in Grand Rapids, and had attended Resurrection Life Church. Blessed with a green thumb, Junior was an avid gardener and was known for his immaculate landscaping. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, James, Billy Joe, and George Marvin Williams; and a sister, Margaret Burton. Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Reba Williams of Greenville; his children, Bonnie Territo of Baton Rogue, La., Rick Williams, Cindy & Robert Gleason, and Tracy & Kendall VanKrimpen, all of Greenville; a brother, Jack & Lori Williams of Fremont; a sister, Ann & Steve Clark of Bogata, Tennessee; eleven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
