Julia Eldred

Julia Doris Eldred, age 73, of Fenwick, Michigan went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 24, 2013, from Spectrum Health-Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids. The daughter of Samuel & Virgie (Gipson) Bennett, she was born on July 21, 1939 in Tennessee. For many years she worked in housekeeping at the former Kelsey Memorial Hospital in Lakeview and also at High Q. She enjoyed doing crafts of all kinds... especially those involving yarn. She also enjoyed yard sales and flea markets and was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and auntie. She was preceded in death by her father, Sam Bennett; her mother, Virgie Tennis; her step-father, Leroy Tennis; an infant son; a husband, Russ Eldred; and three sisters, Bell Marie, Betty Brown and Lilly Arquette. Surviving are her best friend and companion, James Miller of Fenwick; her children, Carol Ann & Kevin Ingersoll of Greenville, Mary Marie Wrisley, and David Ray Freedon, both of Fenwick, and Howard Freedon of Florida; her grandchildren, Brandy & Will Moyer and Micheal Freedon; a sister, Mary Lee Duncan of Alma; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, and cousins. Visitation is Saturday from 11 a.m. to 12 Noon at Christiansen Cremation & Funeral Care, 511 S. Franklin Street, Greenville, where funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, May 4, 2013. Pastor Robert Jones of the Church of the Gentle Shepherd in Six Lakes will officiate and burial will take place privately at Clear Lake Cemetery, Fenwick.
