Julia Anderson

Julia Anna Anderson, age 83, of Gowen, passed away Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at her home. The daughter of John F. & Anna K. (Benedict) Schutte, she was born on August 20, 1930 in Gowen. Julia retired from Federal Mogul Corp. after 38 years of service and had been a member of the First Baptist Church in Greenville and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Ray I. Booth American Legion Post 101. An avid gardener, Julia enjoyed the outdoors especially mushroom hunting and fishing. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Richard Schutte, Edwin Schutte, and John Schutte; and her canine companion, Ranger, who passed away just two weeks ago. Surviving are her daughter, Diane Garlick of Gowen; a son-in-law, Rod Garlick of Greenville; a sister-in-law, Linda Schutte of Gowen; several nieces and nephews; a special friend, Jack Nelson of Greenville; many other dear friends and neighbors; and her "grand-dog", Hershey Lynn.
