Judith K. Skinner, a 50 year resident of Greenville, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at the age of 82. Judy was married for over 60 years to retired Probate/Juvenile Court Judge Edward L. Skinner, who survives her.
Their son, Bradley, preceded her in death and she is survived by a son, Gregory Skinner of Plymouth, Michigan, and a daughter, Dr. Barbara Fodero of Chatham, New Jersey, along with her two grandsons, Peter and Nicholas Fodero.
Judy, daughter of Roy and Helen (Streit) Noblitt, was the first World War II time baby born in Bartholomew County, Indiana. Judy had five siblings: Nancy, Kenneth, Sharon and Toni, all who preceded her in death. She is survived by her brother, Tom Noblitt of Columbus, Indiana; and many cherished nieces and nephews.
Judy had the distinction of being the youngest person to be a secretary to a Vice-President of Cummins Engine Company in Columbus, Indiana in her early working years. She later attended Indiana University. Judy worked as a paraprofessional at Greenville Public Schools and as a legal secretary in her husband’s law practice and was a volunteer at the Montcalm Area Reading Council. She was a member of Thalia Club in Greenville.
Relatives and friends are invited to a casual Celebration of Life Reception from 2-5 p.m. on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at the Candlestone Inn, 8100 Storey Road (M-91), Belding, Michigan. Private family committal services will be held at Forest Home Cemetery, Greenville.
