Judith Avery

Judith Lee Avery, age 68, of Allendale, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, June 04, 2017 at Spectrum Health Lettinga Cancer Center surrounded by family. The daughter of Joseph Avery & Bernice (Berry) Kalkbrenner, she was born on September 2, 1948. Judy was an animal lover her entire life and was a docent at the John Ball Park Zoo for 35 years. Judy was preceded in death by her father; and sister, Mary Jane Paulsen. Surviving are her mother, Bernice (Charles) Kalbrenner of Grand Haven; sister, Janice Heft (Mike Russell) of Allendale; along with several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Honoring her wishes, cremation will take place. Arrangements are entrusted to Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, Grand Rapids.
